The Shipping Associate will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare laboratory testing and kit items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material with robust quality control; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products. Responsibilities
Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Deliver or route materials to departments using handtrucks, conveyors, or sorting bins. Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, and postage meters. Collaborate with buyers, schedulers, and the shipping team to ensure inventory accuracy and timely transactions. Cross-train to assist other areas and team members as required. Communicate problems and solution ideas to the shipping lead and supervisor. Demonstrates excellence in completion of all other duties as assigned. Ability to use hand tools such as tape measures, hammers, nail guns, pneumatic crimpers, hoists, and banding equipment. Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent 1+ years of shipping and receiving experience Key Competencies
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively Repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs Attention to detail Eager to learn Ability to stand for a full shift when not on break Computer, data entry, and keyboarding skills Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
