Senior Fusion Technician (Electronics)
As a Senior Fusion Technician (Electronics) you will be working directly with the Electrical Engineering team, supporting the core of the world's first fusion generator. You will support the main pulsed-energy drive systems for the magnetics, the energy recovery and re-distribution networks, the diagnostics, and the controls. You will also develop novel ways to measure and acquire this data from high noise, high field, and high voltage environments. You will work directly with our Electrical Engineers, and report directly to our Production Supervisor at our Everett, WA office. You Will Support the build, assembly, operation, and testing of PCBA and control systems required for running a fusion machine and multiple test systems Help with the identification, installation, and implementation of test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems Help create minor subassemblies and test components focused on PCBAs, pulse power electronics, electrical systems, and fast prototypes Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and service Electronics assemblies, PCBAs, and pulsed power test systems Create, organize, and maintain electronic component and consumables inventory Be responsible for preventative maintenance and calibration of lab equipment Required Skills
5+ years of experience in a research, fabrication, or test lab Read and interpret electrical schematics and interconnects Solder, reflow, rework and repair PCBAs to IPC standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, IPC J-STD-001, IPC-7711/7721 Experience with electronic troubleshooting and using standard benchtop tools like oscilloscopes, Eloads, FRA, Arb waveform generators, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, DVMs Experience with Microsoft Suite, schematic capture, and PCB design software Able to lift up to 50 lbs Total Compensation and Benefits
