SMB Technical Support Specialist (Level 2)
CRG is seeking a
Level 2 SMB Technical Support Specialist
to provide exceptional onsite and remote technical support to our valued small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers in the San Antonio, Texas area. The ideal candidate will be a skilled problem-solver with a strong background in IT infrastructure, customer service, and a passion for helping businesses succeed. This role is based in San Antonio, Texas, with travel to local client sites as required.
Responsibilities
Onsite and Remote Support : Diagnose and resolve technical issues for SMB clients in San Antonio and surrounding areas. This includes hardware, software, network, and server problems. Provide remote support to clients outside the San Antonio area as needed. System Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches on client systems to ensure optimal performance and security. Network Administration : Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues. Server Management : Support and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file sharing. Customer Communication : Serve as a primary point of contact for technical support requests. Communicate effectively with clients, provide clear, non-technical or technical explanations, as applicable, and provide timely updates on the status of their issues. Documentation : Maintain detailed and accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and client configurations in our ticketing system. Qualifications
Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, with at least 2 years in a Level 2 or equivalent role. Technical Skills : Proficiency in
Microsoft Windows operating systems
(Windows 10/11) and
Windows Server
(2016/2019/2022) Strong knowledge of
Active Directory , Group Policy, and user account management Experience with
networking protocols
(TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network hardware Familiarity with
virtualization technologies
(e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Scale Computing) Experience with
Microsoft 365
administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) Experience with the following technologies a plus : Operating Systems : macOS, Linux, iOS, Android Networking : Fortinet, Meraki, Aruba Virtualization : VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) Managed Services Tools : ConnectWise Manage, IT Glue, N-able, NinjaOne Soft Skills : Excellent
problem-solving and analytical skills . Strong
customer service acumen
with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients. Effective
communication skills , both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Certifications :
CompTIA A+ ,
Network+ , or
Microsoft certifications
(e.g., MS-900, AZ-900) are highly desirable. Other Requirements : Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance to travel to client sites within the San Antonio area.
