Operations and Maintenance Photovoltaic Field Technician
located in
Monterey County, California . This position is responsible for managing the maintenance activities for a large number of solar photovoltaic projects. What you'll do:
Maintain the performance of each photovoltaic project subject to performance guarantees. Respond to trouble tickets in a timely manner. Troubleshoot and take corrective actions, maintaining service reports. Develop work scopes for service work orders on repair issues that require subcontracted assistance. Perform scheduled annual preventative maintenance services for PV systems. Use field mobile applications to perform activities and keep accurate records. Review annual preventative maintenance reports to identify issues requiring follow-up. Provide feedback and plan corrective actions. Perform corrective repair services as directed by the O&M Manager. Maintain detailed expense records for all service calls. Create and refine reporting systems for management updates. Perform re-commissioning and site inspections as needed. Comply fully with all safety requirements and legal regulations. Qualifications - What you bring:
Must be a State Certified Electrician Inside Wireman Journeyman. 5-7 years of experience with PV design, installation, or maintenance. Strong collaboration and communication skills, working closely with the PV O&M manager. Provide on-the-job training to electrical apprentices. Effective communication with the O&M Manager regarding field activities. Understanding of NEC electrical code, NFPA70, and OSHA 30 safety standards. Adherence to project work terms, safety, and customer site requirements. Analytical skills for reviewing performance reports and troubleshooting issues. Technical expertise in commissioning, troubleshooting, and monitoring solar electrical systems. Additional Information/Conditions:
Must have legal right to work in the U.S. No sponsorship provided. Up to 90% travel, including overnight stays. Valid drivers license required. Ability to work outdoors, on rooftops, and lift up to 55 lbs regularly. High attendance and effective communication skills required. Why ENGIE?
