Senior Estimator
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for: Managing all documentation to ensure the project is compliant, remains on schedule, and remains within budget while monitoring all costs. Obtaining, assembling, distributing, and filling all as-built drawings, warranties, certificates of occupancy, and lien releases. Scheduling projects in logical steps and budgeting time required to meet deadlines. Building and maintaining relationships critical to the success of the overall project and company Track and analyze data to reduce gaps between estimates and actual costs. Obtain and track subcontract bids and negotiate budgets. Prepare and present estimate documentation, including gaps in available data. Prepares estimates according to the requirements of multiple delivery systems. Reviews quotes and estimates with the project management team. Assists with certain post-bid buyouts. Initiates and participates in meet and greet presentations with subcontractors and suppliers. The Senior Estimator will have: 7+ years of construction estimating experience is ideal Great understanding of construction law and accepted business practices Having excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills Associates (required) or Bachelors (preferred) in construction management and/or engineering Diverse project experience in construction Familiar with several types of construction software and having open mind about learning new software Someone looking for long-term future in Dayton commercial construction Has strong teamwork skills Prepare work to be estimated - gather proposals, blueprints, specifications and other related documents Identify labor, materials and time requirements for projects Attend bid meetings, owner meetings and other meetings with stakeholders Works directly with Chief Estimator to generate estimates for small and large projects. Communicate and interact with sub-contractors and component suppliers such as concrete, steel, joist, precast and masonry The Senior Estimator will be offered: Salary based off experience $100k-$130k Individual performance bonuses (typically 8-11%) Company profit bonuses Health insurance benefits Dental insurance benefits Vision insurance benefits 4 weeks PTO 6% 401k company match Maternal and Paternal leave Company outings Career growth and continued training
