The posted compensation range of $18.38 - $25.28/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting the health and well-being of patients through high-quality, hands-on care. The Patient Care Technician will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse, including tasks such as bathing, oral care, feeding, and assistance with activities of daily living. The role also involves obtaining and documenting vital signs, monitoring and recording intake and output, and collecting various specimens, including non-invasive body fluids and blood samples. Additionally, the Patient Care Technician supports efforts to reduce patient length of stay by utilizing the computerized Bed Tracking System, performing discharge duties promptly, and ensuring timely communication of discharge information. The position includes assisting nurses and physicians with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures, while consistently communicating changes in a patient's condition to the appropriate medical staff. All patient interactions and observations must be accurately documented in the medical record. The technician may also assist with the retrieval and delivery of medications in accordance with unit standards.
