QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum total of ten (10) years experience in teaching and administration. A Masters Degree emphasizing school administration. An Ohio Principals Certificate valid for Middle School Grades 5 - 8. Such alternatives to the qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable. COMPENSATION:

To serve as educational leader for his/her building. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
10.5-Month (215 days) contract. Salary and work year to be in accordance with the Administrative Compensation Package PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: To enforce policies set forth by the Board of Education and directives from the Central Office. To act as a liaison between the school community and the public. To promote a positive working relationship among administration, certified and classified staff. To foster an environment of a caring, helping school community, to welcome elementary students and continue a desire for lifelong learning. To collaborate with the principal and assistant principal in building and function as an administrative team. To be an instructional leader and display expertise in staff development. To develop and implement a student leadership program. To ensure that each student has the opportunity to fulfill his/her academic, social and personal potential. To participate in the screening, interviewing and placement of certified and classified staff. To evaluate certified and classified staff as to the policy set forth by the Board of Education. To set the tone for building discipline and assign the appropriate staff to implement. To always be mindful that effective school leadership is a team process and to use the resources available. To schedule and coordinate building use by school-related and non-school-related organizations. To assist in the implementation, development and planning of IEPs and 504 plans. To assist in planning and participating in Academic Team meetings, IAT meetings and Family Team meetings. Oversee curriculum implementation and instructional practices to support student learning and growth. Evaluate and support teachers through observations, coaching, and professional development. Utilize data-driven decision-making to improve student outcomes and close achievement gaps. Promote differentiated instruction and interventions to meet the diverse needs of students. Communicate regularly with families and community stakeholders about school initiatives and student progress. Strengthen partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and educational institutions. Encourage parental involvement in school activities, committees, and volunteer opportunities.
