Nurse Assistant Position
The Nurse Assistant is in training to become a Certified Nurse Assistant. The Nurse Assistant will provide direct, personal care and services to residents in the skilled nursing facility, which meet the physical, academical, social, and spiritual needs on a daily basis to maintain and improve their highest level of independent function. The position highlights include the possibility of a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The work shift is primarily days with rotating weekends and holidays. The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $26.00. The Nurse Assistant must become a Medication Aide within 120 days with a high school diploma or GED. The Nurse Assistant will: Be in training to become a Nurse Assistant certified and/or Medication Aide certified. Provide assistance to residents with their activities of daily living. Perform routine and non-routine duties as directed by nursing staff. Assist with restocking supplies and maintaining the appropriate work environment. Participate in providing emotional, educational, and spiritual support for families. Comply with all aspects of resident rights including confidentiality and privacy. Understand and follow established policy and procedures related to fire, tornado, evacuation, disaster plan, universal precautions, infection control procedures, hazardous and chemical communication program. Essential qualifications include the ability to work specified hours, visual acuity, and effective communication skills. Required education, license, or work experience includes becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) within 120 days. Preferred education, license, or work experience includes a high school or GED equivalent.
