Public Works/Community Development Director
The City of Oak Grove, MO is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Public Works/Community Development Director. This position is responsible for the administration and supervision of the Public Works Department including Streets, Water, Sewer, and Community Development. The Director is responsible for the management and direction of the day-to-day operations of the department. The position provides technical and professional engineering expertise to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen. The ideal candidate should have a strong ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and members of the public. The candidate should have a proven record of successfully managing the operations of a public works department and have a strong knowledge of all public works functions, infrastructure maintenance, crew training, and team leading. Work includes setting policies and goals under the direction of the City Administrator. Qualifications: Completed high school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree in civil engineering (preferred but not required), construction management or closely related field, 3- 5 years of direct supervisory experience, and extensive knowledge in municipal public works functions. Candidate should have computer software experience, including MS Office and GIS. Missouri Wastewater or Water operator certificates preferred. Salary range: $81,750-$102,235 DOQ.
