As a Clerical Assistant 3 in the ChildLine Appeals Unit, you will play a crucial role in the process of reviewing and analyzing requests for appeal recommendations and decisions. Your responsibilities will also include understanding and applying the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law to appeal requests, as well as reviewing written appeals from individuals or their legal counsel to determine eligibility. It will be your duty to release information in accordance with the law, regulations, and procedures, while ensuring the protection of confidential information. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring the progression of appeal steps and ensuring appropriate notice is given to the perpetrator or their legal counsel. Your organizational skills will be essential as you maintain all completed appeal cases, ensuring they are compliant with statutory time frames. Interested in learning more? Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week after an in-office training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
