As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have full engineering responsibility for assigned manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure that processes are effective, efficient, and produce parts to requirements. You will support production on engineering-related issues, resolve delays, and work on improving costs and productivity. What will you do?
Acquire and maintain expertise on assigned processes and equipment to be the process owner, ensuring safety, effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of parts Support production regarding engineering issues, lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and problem resolution Research, design, and develop/improve manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and equipment to enhance efficiency and quality while reducing waste Manage major projects or several projects of medium-high complexity and scope, supporting long-range planning Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste, cycle times, and improve flow Develop and assist in planning and implementing new cell designs and facility layouts Verify manufacturability of new product designs, tooling, and documentation before production activation Document and maintain processes, procedures, tools/equipment, and routing standards through ECOs, ERP (SAP), and internal workflows Research and benchmark latest manufacturing technologies for continuous improvement Establish and maintain standard times via time studies and collaboration with Manufacturing Development Collaborate with the Quality Department on non-conforming materials, warranties, and quality issues Write ECOs and facilitate changes as needed Prepare capital expenditure requests Coordinate with TURCK Mexico on finished goods transfers Write and maintain procedures for equipment, test, install, and facilitate new equipment implementation into production What will you bring?
BS degree in Engineering or related technical field 5+ years of relevant engineering experience Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, familiar with tools like root cause analysis, statistics, FMEA, Pareto Attention to detail Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex technical information and collaborate across functions Proven ability to manage multiple projects and troubleshoot problems Strong time management skills within project frameworks Levels of Engineering Responsibility
Manufacturing Engineer II:
Under moderate supervision, responsible for intermediate engineering tasks, leading and executing small projects, supporting lean initiatives. Manufacturing Engineer III:
Responsible for professional-level tasks, mentoring lower-level engineers, leading major projects, and supporting long-term planning. Leads lean manufacturing efforts to reduce waste and improve flow. Qualifications
BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an ABET-accredited school Experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in electro-mechanical assembly Experience automating manual assembly processes Self-motivated with a high sense of urgency Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Design for Manufacturing & Assembly experience Ability to design assembly fixtures Experience in continuous improvement environments Injection molding experience Experience with two-part resins for shock, thermal, and electrical performance Working Conditions
Standing and sitting at workstations, wearing safety gear. Infrequent travel (~1-3 times/year). What we offer
