Ob/Gyn Clinician Scientist Position
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a Ob/Gyn Clinician Scientist for the Women's Health Research Institute. The Women's Health Research Institute combines The Center for Early Translational Research in Women's Health and The Center for Outcomes and Quality Research in Women's Health (initially led by the Institute director, Elizabeth Howell, MD, MPP). Together, these two centers of excellence will provide leadership support, focus, and training for the Women's Health Research Institute. The Women's Health Research Institute will bring together many disciplines to build cutting-edge translational research programs that will make Mount Sinai a national thought leader in women's health across the life course, including pre-adolescence, reproductive medicine, post-menopause, and geriatric care. Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is the academic arm of the Mount Sinai Health System, which also includes seven superb member hospitals: The Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai St. Luke's, Mount Sinai West, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, Mount Sinai Queens and Mount Sinai Brooklyn. Within the School, 33 academic departments collaborate closely with a similar number of multidisciplinary institutes to conduct cutting-edge basic, translational and clinical research, and provide unparalleled clinical and training experiences. The School currently ranks #13 nationwide in NIH funding, and leads the nation in NIH dollars per investigator.
