Litigation Legal Assistant

to join their team on a

contract-to-hire

basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow into a long-term position within a respected legal organization. As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you will provide direct support to attorneys handling civil litigation matters. You will assist in all phases of the litigation process, from pre-suit investigation through trial preparation and post-trial procedures. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with a solid foundation in litigation procedures and court filings. Responsibilities Draft and format legal documents including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence File documents electronically with state and federal courts Organize and maintain physical and electronic litigation files and case management systems Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetings Manage attorney calendars and monitor deadlines and court dates Coordinate document production and trial preparation, including assembling exhibits and binders Assist with client communications and intake as needed Support attorneys with legal research, billing, and administrative tasks

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of litigation legal assistant or paralegal experience Familiarity with civil litigation processes, court filing systems, and case lifecycles Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Outlook); experience with e-filing portals Strong organizational and multitasking skills with sharp attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive case materials Experience with legal software such as Clio, NetDocuments, iManage, or similar
