211 LA Key Responsibilities

The Temporary AWS Program Assistant will be responsible for leading the agencys functions related to supporting the Program Manager or Director by providing administrative and project support. 211 LA is a fast-paced work environment in which it is necessary to provide support in a performance-driven, 24/7 social service operation. Position Essential Functions Include But Are Not Limited To Serving as a primary point of contact for internal teams and program partners, maintaining strong working relationships and consistent communication with stakeholders. Receiving, screening, and routing emails on behalf of the Program Manager or Director; prioritizing and responding to requests promptly, courteously, and confidentially. Ensuring clear and timely communication between the Program Manager/Director and program staff or stakeholders, including updates on assignments, tasks, meetings, concerns, and follow-up items. Monitoring deadlines for requests and tasks and taking proactive action to support timely completion. Preparing for and participating in meetings, as requested; developing agendas and materials, providing background information, recording minutes when applicable, and ensuring follow-up on action items. Assisting with the creation of program reports to meet contract deadlines and requirements, as directed by the Program Manager or Director. Maintaining the accuracy of motel vouchers and transportation reports by cross-referencing HMIS data with invoices. Supporting operational logistics and other administrative functions to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Qualifications

A social services background or a thorough understanding of human services and the way they are delivered. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with diverse groups; includes presenting and comprehending data, editing for accuracy, and preparing reports for external stakeholders. Strong attention to detail with the ability to catch small mistakes and ensure accuracy in reports, data, and communications. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with others, contribute as a team player, and build collaborative relationships. Advanced experience with Excel or Google Sheets, including the ability to analyze data for trends and prepare clear, actionable summaries. Ability to prioritize and manage logistics to move multiple projects forward in a politically sensitive and rapidly changing environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively while exercising initiative and sound judgment. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly, gather and analyze information effectively, and maintain confidentiality. Comprehensive computer skills, including proficiency in Google Suite, with the ability to adapt to new computer programs, software, equipment, and/or hardware. Required Education And/Or Experience

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in communication, public relations, social work, psychology, education, or a related field is desired; or equivalent experience. Experience in a not-for-profit environment is desirable. Compensation:
