Production Controller (Aircraft)

The primary purpose of the Production Controller (Aircraft), GS-1152-9, is to develop, organize, and integrate plans, schedules and resources for logistic support of AASF and unit maintenance operations. This position is the focal point for compilation, maintenance, and application of information pertaining to the AASF logistics capability and capacity to maintain aircraft availability and readiness and advises the AASF Logistics Management Officer/Supervisory Maintenance Test Pilot on matters pertaining to maintenance logistics management production. California National Guard membership is required: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Compatible Military Assignment and Grade are required. Priority areas of consideration are: Current California National Guard employees who are serving on a Permanent/Indefinite/Temporary appointment. Current California National Guard members. Current military members of the Air Force/Army National Guard, Air Force/Army Reserve or Air Force/Army Active Duty. Military Grades: E-5 through E-9 or W-1 through W-3. Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. General Experience: Possess experience, education or training which provides the ability to reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity. Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, in: scheduling workflow in more than one area and responsible for coordinating products or materials from support activities; Experience in performing or supervising journeyman level work in a production facility; Experience preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes; Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: Ability To Provide Production Support Services, Aircraft Maintenance, Production and Processing, Reasoning (Clerical/Technical).
