Photonics and Optics Engineer role at Booz Allen Hamilton International (U.K.) Ltd. Key Role Serve as a strategic technical advisor to DARPA program managers, advising on program direction and technology selection. Apply your expertise in photonics or free-space optics researchincluding materials, optical modeling, fabrication, design and optical communication methodsto support the creation and execution of government-funded R&D programs. Provide strategic assessments of emerging technologies and support independent verification and validation activities. Assist in producing and presenting findings and recommendations to Agency leadership and the broader scientific community regarding the feasibility and impact of future research programs. 5+ years of experience in photonics or free-space optics research Ability to develop technical documents and presentations with strict attention to detail Secret clearance Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics Additional Qualifications
Experience with Department of Defense research and development programs Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines with minimal oversight Excellent organization and client service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing and editing TS/SCI clearance Clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements.
