Job Title
Generates and maintains an account all materials, transfers and receipts throughout the plant using the MRP system. Loads, unloads, and/or moves materials within or near plant, or work site. Job Responsibilities
1. Performs alphanumeric data entry operations as required to ship and receive all incoming and outgoing materials into the inventory system with real time transactions. 2. Receives all small package shipments as required verifying incoming and outgoing material against packing slip/purchase order for accuracy. 3. Investigation of supplier shipment discrepancies. 4. Report over/under shipments to supplier and supervisor for immediate resolution. 5. Hi-lo trained and will obey all hi-lo laws. 6. Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. 7. Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, racks, and shelves by hand, or hi-lo. 8. Conveys materials between designated areas and performs all inventory transactions between control points. 9. Verifies all labels and tags. 10. Participates in problem solving and continuous improvement activities. 11. Completes operator check sheets on hi-los and keeps hi-los clean. 12. Performs various housekeeping activities. 13. Understand your responsibility for health and safety in the workplace. Cooperate with OSHA inspectors. Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. Follow all safety rules. Report unsafe conditions immediately. 14. Understand your responsibility for health and safety in the workplace. Provide an employee with written instructions of the measures and procedures required to protect the employee. Advise the employee of the existence of any potential or actual danger to the health or safety of the employee of which the supervisor is aware. Understand your responsibility for visitors and general public health and safety in the workplace. Cooperate with OSHA inspectors. Do not allow discrimination against employees who properly exercise their right under OSHA. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to set a good example. Understand your responsibility to the environmental programs, including ISO14001. Understand the importance of conformance with all environmental procedures of the environmental management system, including emergency response. Understand the EMS consequences, actual or potential, of their work activities and/or their behaviors from specified work instructions. 16. Communicates shortages/problems to appropriate personnel. 17. Stocks product in assigned bins. 18. Assists receiving with raw in-process material that is to be moved to the warehouse or main floor. 19. Participates in all inventory checks. 20. Understands and follows existing Magna policies, procedures, work instructions and standards and makes recommendations for continuous improvements. 21. Performs other duties as required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time. Must maintain proper vision requirements Must be able to maintain alertness to their surroundings. Must have a current and valid Driver's License. Requirements: 1. High school diploma or GED 2. Six months experience in receiving related field preferred 3. Industrial truck driving experience 4. Must have a valid driver's license
