$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Opportunity for a 2-6 year Big 4 Auditor working on fund or banking clients -- this is with a $25 billion AUM PE fund that invests across real estate, credit, and debt with offices all over the world, home base right here in NYC. This isn't your typical fund accounting or corporate accounting role - it'll be a mix of accounting, finance, operations, and treasury. The Opportunity
Excellent opportunity to join a leading real estate private equity and credit fund experiencing significant growth. The successful candidate will become part of a highly talented accounting team and collaborate cross-functionally with other departments. The firm is well known in both New York City and Los Angeles and has a strong reputation in the private equity and real estate sectors. This role reports directly to the Director of Corporate Finance, who brings experience from one of the top firms in the industry. Core Responsibilities
Entity & Financial Oversight: Keep detailed records and books for GP and co-investment structures, including monitoring ownership splits, capital movements (in/out), and allocation of carried interest. Maintain key general ledger activities such as journal posting, accrual tracking, and reconciliation of accounts. Aid in preparing capital account statements for GPs, particularly as they relate to carry distributions. Facilitate inter-entity allocations and flows involving the management co., GP vehicles, and investment funds. Contribute to internal budgeting workflows, tracking of firm-wide expenditures, and apportionment of overhead costs. Handle the bookkeeping for selected portfolio-level businesses and affiliated operating companies, including real estate and holding entities. Balance intercompany positions and record proper elimination entries for consolidation purposes. Support in assembling consolidated financial packages for both internal review and external reporting needs. Process Optimization & Cross-Functional Tasks
Maintain schedules for prepaid items and intangible assets, and help post related depreciation entries. Collaborate on audit and tax deliverables, working with outside advisors and service providers as needed. Look for areas to streamline operations via process upgrades or automation, aiming to boost both precision and efficiency. Provide analytical support and contribute to special initiatives or one-off projects requested by senior leaders. Seniority level
