This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, reconditioning, overhaul, and maintenance of company heavy equipment and/or components.Expected salary range: $44 to $50/hourPrimary Duties Perform on highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines andthe plant facility's equipmentPerform on emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment duringproduction and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipmentduring machine servicePerform mechanics duties and responsibilitiesPerform electrician duties and responsibilitiesPerform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic andhydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machinesPerform electrical skills including, but not limited to, basic electrical troubleshooting,uploading PLC programs, saving PLC programs, changing PLC programs as needed,programming VFD's, programming drives, running conduit and power to newequipment, replacing electrical hardwarePerform electrical troubleshootingRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform requiredmaintenance and serviceRead and interpret electrical schematics and PLC programsDiagnose mechanical and electrical problems, replace or repair parts, test and makeadjustmentsPerform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plantfacilitiesPerform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functionUse a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performingdutiesDetect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusualsituations to proper supervisionComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areasPerform all other duties as assigned or needed which will include operatingproduction equipment, stacking, and inventory controlBe able to lead by example and help junior mechanics as neededDetect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusualsituations to proper supervisionFollow all safety rules and procedures and maintain clean and orderly work areasPerform all other duties as assigned or needed which will include operatingproduction equipment, stacking, and inventory controlParticipates in any extra curriculum (training & development) activity deemednecessary by managementTrain other colleagues to pass on knowledge & expertiseLearn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. SWR employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.Other duties as needed by managementJob QualificationsFluent in EnglishBilingual in Spanish a plus5 + years manufacturing experience preferably in a paper converting/corrugated environmentKnowledge of basic tools, power tools, electrical meters, pneumatic blue print reading, hydraulic blue print reading, and electrical schematic reading Knowledge of basic pneumatic & hydraulic blue print reading and electrical schematic reading Knowledge in the following programs: Lenz Global, RS logic 5,500 and 5,000, Workshop 505, Siemens Step 7 Ability to work in fast-paced environment Good interpersonal skills Highly organized, detail orientated and self-motivated individual (proactive attitude) Lean Management Ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting Ability to perform basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting Ability to deal with various situations Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Must be able to perform repairs unsupervised, troubleshoot intermediate electrical issues and repair.
