The Project Controls Manager will lead operational and strategic engineering controls through process optimization, data-driven analysis, and comprehensive reporting to enable informed decision-making. This role collaborates with project teams, engineering, finance, and legal to ensure efficient project controls across the lifecycle. Responsibilities
Develop and manage procedures and processes for project cost and schedule reporting Develop and review project schedules, cost estimates, bill of materials, budgets, scopes of work, and supplier quotes Coordinate information flow between projects and offices Monitor multiple EPC projects simultaneously and manage risks Perform project cost and productivity analysis and risk analysis Prepare weekly and monthly reports on engineering progress, schedule, and budgets; manage project management systems, account master files, and POC Research market news to inform strategy and planning Coordinate EPC group project meetings Apply extensive technical experience in photovoltaic and energy storage projects Supervise technical planning for contract preparation and present planning/technical design to the Head of Department Report planning processes to clients Prepare technical documentation in the quoting process Develop planning capabilities and processes within the team Collaborate to develop and improve system standards; provide technical training to team members and new hires Work with teams to define company processes and metrics and allocate resources to ensure strategic alignment and training needs Foster a culture of continuous improvement in efficiency and engineering quality Promote a safety culture with a responsibility to act and lead by example approach Ensure compliance with Hanwha Q CELLS project-specific standards and quality management system Perform other duties and special projects as assigned Required Qualifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Renewable Energy field Minimum of 3 years of experience in EPC related to renewable energy projects At least 2 years in a leadership or management role, and mentoring engineering teams Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time Experience working internationally Ability to motivate and develop others Excellent written and verbal communication skills Physical Demands
Stationary Position: frequently remains stationary up to 90% of the time and sitting up to 8 hours in a day Move/Traverse: infrequently bend, stand, stoop and/or walk Carry Weight: infrequently lift objects (up to 10 pounds) Hearing and Speech: frequently communicate, hear, and talk with colleagues; exchange accurate information Sight: frequent use of sight to monitor computer screens, documents, and objects Climb: occasionally ascend/descend stairs Travel: up to 30% as needed Work Environment
