Specific Duties And Responsibilities

Contract Administration

Ensure all prime contract reporting obligations and deliverables are identified and complied with. Set up company standard quantity tracking system. Manage document control system including drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, correspondence, and meeting notes. Coordinate with ATS to establish project UFS folders and access rights. Review submittals for proper coordination and adherence to plans and specifications. Draft and maintain project correspondence. Attend progress, planning, and safety meetings. Assist with mobilization activities on the project, working with the superintendent. Assist in reviewing subcontractor bids for buyout purposes. Perform tasks related to project completion, including closeout documentation, reports, and final payments. Review and evaluate subcontractor pay applications, approve and code invoices, and sign pay requests. Prepare closeout documents and customer pay requests, ensuring timely and accurate billing. Distribute change requests and prepare change pricing with cost and schedule evaluations. Maintain accurate inspection and quality review documentation in the UFS. Cost and Productivity Management

Analyze and update project budgets and quantities for job cost reporting. Review and approve daily time and quantity reports. Establish and maintain job cost reporting in line with company policy. Produce and review productivity reports regularly, updating management on costs and schedule performance. Assist in developing Work Plans with the superintendent. Scheduling

Ensure timely procurement and delivery of construction materials. Assist in developing and updating the project schedule, incorporating change orders and field performance. Create and update detailed "Look Ahead" schedules. Submit schedule updates as required. Relationships

Develop and maintain trust with customers, owners, and engineers. Build effective working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Safety and Environmental

Perform safety observations and correct hazardous conditions. Assist in developing safety plans and managing environmental compliance. Technical/Education

Four-year degree in a technical discipline. 10-15 years of scheduling experience. Strong computer skills, mathematics, communication, and technical writing abilities. Basic understanding of engineering or construction principles. Ability to interpret project drawings and specifications. Forecast costs and resources for self-performed work. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, ordinances, and building codes. Manage Lump Sum, Unit Price, and Time & Material projects. Austin Industrial is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
