Apartment Manager
at Ingleside Manor, operated by
RHF (Retirement Housing Foundation) , provides low-cost housing to persons and families eligible under the HUD Section 8 Program operated by RHF. The role oversees day-to-day property operations, ensures resident well-being, and maintains compliance with applicable regulations. The manager focuses on excellent customer service, efficient property management, and fostering a supportive community environment for senior residents. The manager collaborates with maintenance, leasing, and resident services teams to maintain a welcoming, well-maintained, and compliant living environment. Duties and Responsibilities Property Management: Oversee daily operations for Ingleside Manor, including leasing, resident relations, and facilities management. Leasing and Occupancy: Market available units, conduct tours, process applications, ensure compliance with RHF policies and affordable housing regulations, and maximize occupancy. Resident Relations: Foster a positive community atmosphere, address resident concerns, and serve as a liaison between residents and RHF leadership. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and other affordable housing program regulations; maintain records; coordinate audits, inspections, and reporting as required. Budgeting and Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage budgets, review purchase orders and invoices, and monitor financial health and occupancy targets.
Qualifications
Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in property management, business administration, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in property management, preferably in senior living, affordable housing, or multifamily housing environments. Experience with HUD, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programs preferred. Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and property operations.
Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a team and work with diverse groups of residents. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with residents, families, staff, and external partners. Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex situations and make decisions that align with company policies and resident needs. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Other Requirements
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed. Valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation. Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Compensation
Base pay: $25.00 per hour. The role is non-exempt and may be eligible for overtime in accordance with federal and state law. Benefits
