This role offers the chance to work with advanced Swiss lathe technology in a supportive and professional environment.Swiss Lathe Set-Up Machinist Benefits and Compensation:Pay range: $24–$28 per hour, plus $2/hour shift differentialFour-day workweek (Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts)2nd shift schedule: 2:45 PM – 12:45 AMMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time off and paid holidaysOngoing training and advancement opportunitiesSwiss Lathe Set-Up Machinist Requirements & Qualifications:5+ years CNC machinist experience, with strong Swiss lathe set-up expertiseProven ability to set up, prove out, edit, and operate Swiss-style CNC lathesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T specificationsSkilled at adjusting feeds, speeds, and tooling to optimize machining conditionsStrong understanding of cutting tool applications and designationsMust hold a valid driver’s licenseMust Haves (Day-to-Day Responsibilities):Perform complete set-ups and changeovers on Swiss lathesEdit and troubleshoot G-code programs as requiredVerify part dimensions using inspection tools, CMM, and optical equipmentAccurately document part counts, scrap, and ERP entriesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaPerform basic machine maintenance, including fluid checks and tool condition monitoringSwiss Lathe Set-Up Machinist Preferred Background & Skills:Prior experience with complex Swiss lathe machiningFamiliarity with JobBOSS or other ERP systemsExperience in medical device or aerospace machiningStrong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindsetAbility to mentor less experienced machinists
