Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Assistant. The Teacher's Assistant at East Gate Kids provides essential support to lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. This role involves assisting with classroom activities, supervising children, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily routines.
Key Responsibilities: Support the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities. Assist with supervising children to always ensure their safety and well-being. Help with setting up and cleaning classrooms, ensuring a tidy and organized environment. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members. Provide hands-on assistance with arts, crafts, reading, and other educational activities. Assist with diapering, potty training, and general hygiene needs as required. Monitor and support children during meal and snack times. Encourage and guide children in positive social interactions and behavior management. Follow and uphold all health, safety, and childcare regulations and policies. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; College Degree preferred. Experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting required. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to multitask and adapt to different classroom needs. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Ability to lift to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods. Must pass background check and meet state childcare requirements. Benefits:
