Overview

The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Leader oversees a global team of manufacturing engineers supporting GE Aerospace suppliers to ensure sourced hardware delivery meets technical and manufacturing requirements. This role aligns team tasks and projects with GE Aerospace priorities and the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model. The leader sets performance measures, provides tools (processes, standards, training), and drives continuous improvement. The leader supports escalations by ensuring resources and direction are available and senior leadership is informed. The role may participate in projects to execute, learn, and train team members to standards. Responsibilities

Inspire and coach the team to work collaboratively and continuously improve team standards, processes, and execution of technical solutions for internal customers. Develop team members by providing training, mentorship, and opportunities for skill-building. Foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and transparency, encouraging open communication and collaboration. Set clear performance measures and track progress using KPIs to ensure targets are met. Ensure team tasks and projects align with organizational priorities and the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model. Create and manage Operating Rhythm to review, validate, and support ongoing projects. Conduct regular self-evaluations and assessments to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilize understanding of industry trends to inform decision-making. Lead others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and interdependent production cycles. Employ sophisticated operational/product management, manufacturing or engineering techniques. Interact with adjacent functions to solve issues. Evaluate the quality of information received and question conflicting data for analysis. Use multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision. May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Present business or technical discipline solutions to leaders. Communicate complex messages and negotiate mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influence peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers. Provide the team with the necessary tools, processes, standards, and training to maintain high performance. Support escalations by ensuring team members have the resources and direction needed to continue their work. Document and maintain best-known practices for performing the teams work. Regularly review adherence to standard work through genba visits and assessments. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum 8 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Supply Chain management. Desired Characteristics

Strong experience leading and coaching technical teams globally Proven ability to drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) Proficiency in structured problem-solving methods, such as the 4-Step Problem Solving Framework (Define, Analyze, Countermeasure, Sustain), APPS (At Point Problem Solving) Experience in managing complex projects, ensuring timely delivery, and adapting to changing priorities Commitment to driving continuous improvement and adapting team processes to ensure outcomes Willingness to teach and share knowledge, including conducting training and coaching sessions Experience in prioritizing work based on customer needs and measuring success through the customer lens Demonstrated ability to lead with respect, inclusivity, and transparency, fostering a collaborative team environment Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders, resolve issues, and align team efforts with organizational priorities Experience in setting and tracking KPIs, aligning team goals with organizational priorities, and driving accountability Ability to stay connected to projects and events throughout their lifecycle, ensuring successful execution and sustained results. Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this position is 163,500 - 214,900. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidates experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary. This posting is expected to close on August 25, 2025. Additional Information
