As a CNC Programmer you would be responsible for creating new programs for 4 and 5-axis mills (vertical and horizontal) and live tooling lathes with sub spindles in exchange for competitive wages, benefits, and a stable work environment.
Location : Lees Summit, MO
Day Shift : Monday Friday
Base Pay : $75,000-$90,000/hour
Types of CNC Machinery : Predominately Okuma, vertical and horizontal mills, lathes (including live tooling and sub spindle)
CNC Programming Software : Mastercam
Responsibility Summary - CNC Programmer :
Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design models to determine machining requirement.
Program CNC machinery to meet part specifications.
Refine code for efficiency, accuracy, and tooling utilization.
Fine-tune machine settings and program parameters as needed to achieve desired results
Choose the appropriate tools for the job based on material, part design, and machine capabilities
Adapt existing programs to suit different machines or specific project needs
Maintain records of machining processes, program changes, and maintenance activities.
Qualification Summary - CNC Programmer :
5+ years of experience writing and editing CNC programs for both mills and lathes
Proficient in programming in Mastercam
High school diploma required; any secondary education in a relevant field of machining, manufacturing or programming is preferred
High mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
