Job Overview The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical and high-profile role supporting strategic decision making and validating results within our new innovative Additive Manufacturing (AMX) Program. This role will be a member of our Corporate Finance team, supporting engineering to evaluate new product development key metrics and have a regular pulse on operating performance. You will lead all finance and accounting matters for the AMX Center of Excellence and lead the team towards optimal execution. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and evaluate business ideas with an open mind to help establish and achieve short- and long-term goals. The Senior Financial Analyst will also support typical Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) deliverables as well as core systematic accounting requirements and monthly close processes. In this role, you will engage with leaders from across the organization as a liaison to business unit engineering projects, helping to drive innovation and financial success. A Day In The Life Act as a key finance partner for the AMX program leadership team, possessing a forward-looking vision and ability to think outside the box. Collect and organize a monthly results package with financial statements and evaluations for the corporate finance teams along with explanations of variances where applicable. Support monthly closing requirement for accounting with the ability to explain financial results and lead variance analysis for key drivers compared to forecast. Execute and reconcile monthly transactions in SAP, providing color on any production variances, material cost variances, or labor / indirect variances. Partner with engineering teams to evaluate project financials to identify attractive investments and risks that need to be monitored. Create processes and procedures within the program to evaluate and identify Research & Development related costs compared to Cost of Goods expenses. Identify proper monthly intercompany transactions to charge for services and products. Evaluate unit cost performance with an understanding for key drivers, monitoring trends and communicating to various levels of management. Manage machine utilization and labor hour analysis to understand overall capacity and need for additional resources. Reconcile Inventory balances to policy and monitor fixed asset equipment, supporting future purchase plans and forecasting accordingly. Understanding of GAAP reporting, inventory costing, and Free Cash Flow. Skills & Experience 3-5+ years of experience in various finance or accounting roles. SAP experience required. Strong interest in working both independently and in a team environment. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Understanding of a manufacturing environment and associated financial reporting metrics. Advanced proficiency evaluating and understanding financial statements. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively within various levels of the company including senior level management. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, tolerance for uncertainty, and ability to be agile and adaptable. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and resources effectively. Display a high standard of ethics and professionalism. Experience with OneStream and/or other reporting software is highly desirable. Willing and able to work on-site at our Shelton, CT facility, with periodic travel to our Wilmington, MA facility and hybrid flexibility available. 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field preferred. MBA or CPA is a plus, but your ability to analyze and strategize is critical.
