Paralegal
We are seeking a highly motivated and dependable Paralegal to support our client's legal team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, organized, and cooperative individual with a strong ability to manage a diverse workload in a fast-paced civil litigation environment. Key Responsibilities Case Management & Document Handling: Organize and maintain document-intensive files from the inception of a case through its completion.
Conduct factual investigations and interviews to identify key parties, related issues, and relevant documents for discovery.
Review E-discovery and production documents to extract and prepare key materials.
Assist in the preparation of answers to interrogatories and responses to requests for production of documents, including electronically stored information.
Litigation Support: Coordinate depositions of parties as requested by attorneys.
Summarize and organize depositions, records, medical records, and testimony using litigation support technology.
Assist with all aspects of case litigation and trial preparation, including identifying and marking exhibits for motions, position papers, mediations, depositions, and trial.
Assist in trial with exhibits, demonstrative aids, and witnesses.
Drafting & Administrative Tasks: Draft various pleadings and filings for civil litigation matters at the federal and state levels.
Verify case citations in briefs for accuracy and current validity using legal research platforms like Westlaw.
Maintain attorney calendars and track case deadlines to ensure compliance.
Maintain accurate timesheets and meet firm deadlines in accordance with firm policies.
Communication & Interaction: Interact with various government and court officials, as well as with clients.
Exhibit a high degree of dependability and cooperation when working with attorneys, clients, and other support staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications Ability to work independently with a high degree of motivation and initiative.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Proven ability to meet required deadlines.
Dependability and a cooperative attitude.
Flexibility to perform other duties as required to support the legal team.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $35.00 Per Hour
