Base position details: This is a hybrid role that offers flexibility to work from both the office and home to meet project delivery goals while maintaining balance. Youll engage with key client representatives, work alongside technical experts, and develop and implement site strategies for environmental characterization and remediation projects. Focus and scope: You will collaboratively manage project teams (field and office staff, senior technical consultants, and subject matter experts) with support from Jacobs' internal management. Your work will center on delivering environmental projects with a strong emphasis on environmental remediation, including proposal and cost estimate preparation, subcontractor procurement, financial management (including client invoicing), schedule management, staff mentorship and leadership, client relationship building, regulatory agency correspondence, data interpretation, and report development. Projects require thoughtful strategy development, technical collaboration with clients and stakeholders, and adherence to high safety, compliance, and quality standards. Jacobss Global Integrated Delivery (GID) approach supports project outcomes through design, digital technology, and delivery capabilities. This role supports these teams to build a company that values collaboration and innovation across projects. Education and location: Based in the United States, with duties primarily related to federal and global private sector environmental remediation projects. Responsibilities
Oversee delivery of environmental site characterization and remediation projects for federal and private sector clients. Lead proposal and cost estimate preparation, subcontractor procurement, and financial management including client invoicing. Manage project schedules, mentor staff, and provide leadership to project teams including field and office personnel, senior technical consultants, and SMEs. Develop and maintain client relationships, coordinate regulatory agency correspondence, and interpret data to support report development. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to develop thoughtful strategy and ensure project delivery meets safety, compliance, and quality standards. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering, geology, environmental studies, or a closely related field. Experience as a project manager at environmental remediation sites involving contaminated media (soil, sediments, groundwater). Experience conducting site investigations/characterizations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, and remedial designs/actions. Experience identifying and resolving issues impacting remedy implementation (technical, regulatory, risk, stakeholder, land use, etc.) and emerging issues. Experience leading a team in implementing site closure strategy and managing change over time. Experience acting as liaison between contractors, team members, regulatory agencies, property owners, other consultants, and clients. Related professional certification (or ability to obtain) such as Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or Project Management Professional (PMP). Ideal/Preferred
