As the Front Desk Manager at the historic St. James Hotel, you'll be the face of guest engagement and play a key role in creating memorable experiences for every guest. This leadership position oversees the Front Desk team and ensures seamless operations, exceptional service, and a welcoming environment that reflects our tradition of hospitality. What You'll Do Lead daily Front Desk operations, including check-in/check-out, reservations, and concierge services. Anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns quickly and professionally, and create personalized service moments that build loyalty. Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of guest service associates. Collaborate with Sales and Reservations to maximize occupancy, implement upsell programs, and support revenue goals. Ensure adherence to hotel policies, brand standards, and service protocols. Serve as Manager on Duty as needed, supporting overall hotel leadership. Analyze guest feedback and operational data to identify service improvements and innovations. Qualifications
What We're Looking For 35 years of progressive Front Office or Rooms Division experience, including at least 12 years in a leadership role. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold team members accountable. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred: Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field. Experience in boutique or historic hotels. Knowledge of hotel revenue strategies and occupancy management. Bilingual or multilingual skills. Familiarity with Red Wing and surrounding areas. Why Join Us?
