Were the Screen Time team, dedicated to facilitating digital wellbeing for parents, teens, and adults. We seek a Staff Engineer to lead the development of next-generation digital wellbeing features at Apple. At Apple, we create compelling personal computing devices that promote user wellbeing, especially for children. Our goal is to deliver simple yet advanced features that foster healthy device experiences. As a Staff Engineer, your responsibilities include: Shaping the technical vision for Screen Time and collaborating with partner teams. Breaking down complex challenges into manageable phases and abstractions. Mentoring and investing in the growth of junior engineers. Your success in this role can significantly impact billions of users by promoting healthy habits. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 10+ years of software engineering experience with SwiftUI/Swift or UIKit/AppKit/Objective-C, with impactful contributions. Strong engineering quality well-abstracted, performant, tested, and maintainable code. Technical leadership exemplifying best practices in code, documentation, commitments, and prioritization. Critical thinking and influence evaluating tradeoffs, making informed decisions, and guiding others. Preferred Qualifications
Customer focus making user-centric product decisions. Platform API design expertise in designing and supporting platform APIs. Mentorship fostering growth in peers and junior engineers. Drive for impact committed to creating exceptional user experiences for billions. Compensation includes a base salary range of $212,000 to $318,400, dependent on skills and experience, along with stock options, benefits, and educational reimbursement.
