Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage domestic and international shipments, ensuring that all orders are processed accurately and efficiently. The role involves handling incoming materials, verifying their condition and quantity, maintaining records, and ensuring proper delivery to designated locations. The ideal candidate will be adept at communication and able to coordinate effectively with the supervisor and purchasing department to maintain optimal stocking levels.
Responsibilities
Manage domestic and international shipments according to specifications.
Check orders and perform packaging, boxing, and crating.
Attach proper shipping instructions and paperwork to all shipments.
Receive and verify incoming materials and goods for damage and quantity.
Maintain all necessary records and complete proper paperwork and reports.
Route or deliver materials to proper stockroom locations or end users.
Effectively communicate with supervisor and purchasing department.
Retrieve, combine, and deliver kitted parts to various manufacturing areas.
Weigh and attach postage and shipping documentation to packages as required.
Load and unload trucks manually and using pallet jacks and fork trucks.
Acquire and maintain fork truck certifications.
Safely use overhead lifting cranes and hoists for heavy lifting and moving.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
2+ years of shipping experience.
Proficiency in inventory control and logistics.
Experience with kitting, shipping, and receiving.
Ability to build skids and crates and create bills of lading.
Forklift operation and certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with inventory control systems.
Skid and crate building expertise.
Proficient in creating bills of lading.

Work Environment
This position is based in a typical manufacturing facility that is well-lit but not climate-controlled. The work schedule is from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, totaling nine-hour days.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
