Document Control Specialist
Perform thorough inspections of Material Test Reports (MTR's), and Purchase Order (PO) documentation for incoming materials, ongoing processes, finished products, and verifying their adherence to defined quality/traceability criteria. Assist in the creation and review of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) reports. Review and file Characteristic Verification documents (CVP), Pull Sheets, Certified Material Test Reports (CMTR's), and other relevant documentation to maintain an organized and accessible records system. Prepare documentation to various standards based on job requirements for review by DOT or 3rd party inspectors. Able to regularly complete a 40hr work week and potentially work overtime if required in some rare circumstances. Self-Starter, capable of identifying what tasks need to be done and coordinating their completion through whatever ethical means are necessary to do so. Effective when working both individually and as part of a team. Excellent data entry speed and accuracy. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Poses high attention to detail. Capable of analyzing data for accuracy and compliance with project requirements from various sources. Will handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Be very familiar with basic computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google, Adobe). Proficient in troubleshooting common computer program issues. A strong working knowledge of Oracle is highly preferred. Firsthand knowledge through dealings with any State Department of Transportation (DOT), the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), the American Welding Society (AWS), Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and/or the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) is desirable. Experience with internal and/or external organizational audits is a plus. High School diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in document control, administrative support, technical writing, or quality assurance is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with quality management systems and collaborating with quality inspectors. STEM University or Technical College education may be substituted for work experience at Quality Supervisor's discretion. Experience with Quality Management System (QMS) preferred.
