Job Summary Receives components and equipment for storage and use within a manufacturing facility / prepares product for shipment to customers. Primarily will consist of picking orders, building skids and band/wrap skids to prepare for shipping 1st or 2nd shifts available.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Shipping

Verifies outgoing shipments against customer orders and other records. Picking orders assigned using RF scanner and building skids of materials ordered. Retrieves orders from storage areas, stages loads, and loads trailers Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Directs shipping documents for off-premises movement of parts or materials. Audits and labels the loads with Customer Specific Labels Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying information on cartons. Assembles cardboard containers / selects preassembled containers. Binds containers with banding. Operates shrink-wrap machine. Operates forklift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and platform to storage areas. Operates electronic scale. Follows company 5S Plan. Receiving

Audits incoming paperwork/packing list to ensure shipment is received in good condition and all materials listed are accounted for. Assures shipment integrity including condition and accuracy Unloads incoming returnable goods from trailers. Uses stretch wrap machine to wrap and weigh loads. Verifies that box bar code labels match part number list to ensure accuracy. Reports inventory discrepancies through the Cycle Count System. Assists with returnable storage. Inspects forklift daily for any defects or required maintenance. Reports shop floor surfaces in need of repair. Other duties as assigned.

Job requires mandatory overtime at a moment's notice.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 1 year related stand-up forklift experience or training required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Ability to follow written work instructions. Ability to follow verbal directions from supervisor, management, and all policies and procedures implemented by ConMet. RF scanner use is required Stand-up forklift license is required. Attention to detail and quality in a fast-paced industrial setting. Working Relations

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Occupational exposure to fumes and dust is regularly encountered. Personal Protective Equipment including safety glasses and steel-toed, industrial footwear is required at all times.
