$110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Position

Title : Electrical Project Engineer A leading industrial manufacturing facility in the Charlotte metro area is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support a series of high-impact capital projects and infrastructure upgrades. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong project management skills and a passion for driving innovation in a fast-paced, production-focused environment. As a Project Engineer, you'll lead cross-functional initiatives involving electrical systems, instrumentation, and automation. You'll collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to scope, plan, and execute projects that enhance reliability, safety, and efficiency across the site. Responsibilities Manage capital and major expense projects from concept through completion. Develop project scopes, cost estimates, and funding requests. Evaluate vendor proposals and recommend equipment solutions. Define project schedules, milestones, and deliverables. Procure materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and budget alignment. Coordinate with internal teams to integrate project work into daily operations with minimal disruption. Monitor project performance, report progress, and recommend corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with safety standards, engineering codes, and company policies. Provide hands-on engineering support including calculations, drawings, and technical documentation. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. 3+ years of experience in project engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems. Experience in pulp and paper operations (woodyard, pulping, power house, paper machines, etc.) is a plus but not required. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Exposure to loud environments, moving machinery, and occasional heights. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed. Visual acuity for detailed work and safety awareness.
