Electrical Technician - 10-month contract

Position Summary:
The Electrical Technician supports railcar system testing and installation under the guidance of the Site Supervisor. This role involves hands-on electrical work, troubleshooting, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards.
Your Day-to-Day: Attend and follow daily job briefings and adhere to all site safety protocols Perform inspections and functional testing of railcar electrical systems per defined procedures Document test results and generate test record sheets Troubleshoot system failures and assist in root cause analysis and repair recommendations Install and repair electrical components including: Wire harnesses and terminations Electrical connections (e.g., crimping) Conduits, enclosures, sensors, and devices Provide feedback to engineering for continuous improvement of procedures Sign off on quality control documentation and testing records Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrician or electrical technician, preferably in heavy-duty vehicles or rail industry Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, HVAC, and wiring Experience with system testing and troubleshooting in coordination with engineering teams Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics Commitment to safety and hazard mitigation AAR Carman certification is a strong asset Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills Why WECTEC Staffing Services?
