For additional information, please visit www.NRPGroup.com . About the Role Were seeking a Multifamily Developer Associate to join our DFW Multifamily Development Team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in civil engineering, architecture, planning, construction, or a related field who is excited to pivot into or deepen their expertise in real estate development. Youll be a critical part of the team supporting all phases of the development processfrom site analysis, entitlement, design, financial close, construction, and leasing. Were looking for someone who is eager to learn, solution-oriented, adapts to new challenges, and organized with a strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys problem solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes initiative to move deals forward. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination

Organize due diligence and document collection for land acquisitions Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to gather materials, track progress, and solve early-stage project issues Coordinate documents for internal committee process and project closing

Site Analysis & Market Research

Assist in site analysis for potential development projects Conduct competitive analysis and apartment comp rent surveys via phone calls, online research, and local outreach Collect demographic, economic, and historical data to support site evaluations Assist in submarket research to identify development opportunities

Due Diligence, Entitlements, and Design

Vet, commission, and manage consultant proposals and change orders to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness. Proactively identify discretionary and quasi-discretionary approvals, site constraints, and design factors impacting project viability, cost, and schedule; coordinate and review entitlement and horizontal design packages, gathering and incorporating feedback from design and construction personnel throughout permitting stages; and manage the preparation, internal review, approval, and recordation of legal documents (agreements, easements, plats). Manage rezoning and special use permits, attending neighborhood, staff, and public hearings. Assist in preparing presentations for zoning hearings and community meetings Research zoning code and local politics

Investment Committee, Finance, & Capital Markets

Assist in preparing presentations for Investment Committees and investor meetings Assist in preparing tours and itineraries for capital markets tours Coordinate with the finance team on operational expenses, hard costs, soft costs Assist in financial underwriting process

Qualifications Education

Bachelors degree in civil engineering, Real Estate, Architecture, Land Planning, or related field preferred License Professional Engineer (PE), Architecture, or Landscape Architecture License preferred

37 years of experience in technical background of real estate development include civil engineering, architecture, planning, construction management, or a related field. Proven track record of sourcing due diligence information for land development projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with preparation of technical reports and presentations (technical and general). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam (experience with GIS and CAD a plus) Competencies and Skills Passion for real estate development and a strong desire to grow within the industry Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously Comfortable with outreachcalling and in-person outreach to apartment buildings, municipality staff, and consultants to gather information Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail Ideal Candidate 4-7 years of experience in land development civil engineering firm. Specifically with experience in commercial developments. Not looking for someone to source land acquisition. History of interaction with City municipalities, vendors, and third-party providers.
