Engineers at HOK work as part of a team responsible for engineering analysis and design on various projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform engineering analysis under the supervision of a Project Engineer.
Contribute ideas and solutions as a team member.
Visit project sites during construction for quality, progress, and compliance reviews.
Ensure quality and timely delivery of projects within budget.
Seek input from senior staff on technical matters to enhance project outcomes.
Maintain a commitment to excellent client service both externally and internally.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor of Science in engineering; Masters preferred. Licensed PE if MEP Engineer. Licensed SE in relevant states or PE/CE in others. LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred. At least one year of project engineering experience on building projects; three years preferred. Experience working within integrated teams. Experience in designing and delivering LEED Silver or higher projects. Experience with architecturally significant buildings is a plus. Experience in commercial, corporate, institutional, civic, justice, aviation, or healthcare sectors is a plus. Specialized experience: Mechanical: Analysis tools and energy modeling. Electrical: Analysis tools and energy modeling. Structural: Complex analysis tools and design of structural systems for small complex buildings.
