We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Event Sales Lead to join our dynamic team. This person will play a key role in expanding our client base, increasing revenue, and building long-term corporate and event-based partnerships that support our mission. The Event Sales Lead will be responsible for cultivating direct client relationships, generating high-value leads, closing major deals, and developing custom floral partnership proposals. This is a strategic, client-facing role that requires strong communication, sales acumen, and a passion for purpose-driven work. A strong floral background is preferred. Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for high-value clients, ensuring exceptional service and ongoing engagement. Lead Generation & Revenue Growth
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate, nonprofit, and private sectors to expand revenue streams. Corporate Floral Partnerships
Develop and pitch custom floral partnership packages for corporations, including recurring orders, branded events, and impact-driven collaborations. Proposal Development
Create compelling, customized proposals for events and partnerships, ensuring alignment with client vision and organizational capacity. Sales Strategy
Meet with leadership to define and execute sales strategies aligned with quarterly and annual goals. Event Sales
Manage end-to-end sales process for large-scale events, from initial contact through proposal, contract, and hand-off to production team. Reporting & CRM Management
Track leads, client interactions, and sales progress using CRM tools; provide regular performance reports and forecasts to leadership. Brand Representation
Represent Southside Blooms at networking events, trade shows, and industry gatherings to build visibility and cultivate new relationships. Qualifications
35+ years of sales experience, preferably in events, hospitality, nonprofit, or floral industries Proven track record of generating and closing high-value deals Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Experience developing corporate partnerships and customized proposals Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Passion for social enterprise, sustainability, and community impact 2-3 examples of past sales proposals or major deals you've closed Valid Drivers License Bonus Qualifications Experience working with a CRM platform and ability to exceed KPI goals Familiarity with the floral, events, or hospitality industries Existing relationships with event planners, corporate buyers, or mission-driven brands Compensation & Benefits
