Panel Design Engineer
Sunnyvale, California, United States Hardware Do something different! Apple is looking for a world-class engineer that can help identify and incubate new display technologies. You will work with both suppliers and internal teams at Apple to shape the display-related technologies that go into Apple products. A successful candidate will not only need to identify new tech but also educate a broad audience of people at Apple about their benefits and trade-offs. This position is focusing on the identification, prototyping, and communication of display backplane technologies for future Apple products. The team features a diverse engineering roster including panel engineers, optical engineers, human perception experts, product design engineers, and experimental physicists. We work at a fast pace and require everyone to be highly self-motivated. A successful candidate needs to be a flexible thinker who is able to problem-solve outside of their respective technical area. Minimum Qualifications
M.S. or Ph.D. in EE or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in a related field Experience, technical knowledge, and a proven track record in the design, development, and characterization of active matrix displays or similar technologies Background in panel design and/or digital/analog/mixed-signal IC design Preferred Qualifications
Deep knowledge of device physics, fabrication process, and relevant technologies, device and circuit modeling, testing, and validation Experience managing domestic and international vendors, including failure analysis and process qualification Concise and effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English Strong analytical and critical thinking and problem-solving skills Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
