Brake Press Operator
We are seeking a dedicated Brake Press Operator to join our team. Our company specializes in manufacturing a wide variety of carbon steel products, ranging from small custom carbon parts to large components for major companies. This position offers opportunities across all three shifts and involves a variety of responsibilities, including operating saws, prepping products for shipment, and using overhead cranes. Responsibilities: Pick products off order sheets and prepare them for shipping. Operate saws to measure and cut metal materials according to specifications. Participate in parts washing roles to clean metal for customer delivery. Safely operate overhead cranes to move heavy materials. Transition to forklift operations as part of permanent onboarding. Essential Skills: 6 months of manufacturing or production experience. Consistent attendance with less than 4 occurrences in a 6-month period. Experience with overhead crane operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Forklift experience. Experience in a heavy steel environment. Saw operation experience. CNC operation experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment: Our facility is a spacious warehouse with 30 to 35 employees, ensuring ample space between workstations. Equipped with large storage, shipping, and receiving areas, the workplace houses several overhead cranes and forklifts. Employees will work with various equipment, including large saws, brake presses, burn tables, welding areas, and CNC machines. Required attire includes hard hats, safety glasses, long pants, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots. Job Type & Location: This is a permanent position based out of Wausau, Wisconsin. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $45000.00/yr. Company benefits when candidate goes direct holiday and PTO.
