Deposit Operations Specialist (Atlanta, GA)

Deposit Operations Specialist Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Deposit Operations Specialist for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client. Responsibilities: Examine and address all non-post, stop pays, positive pay or NSF items on a daily basis. Process foreign items and returned mail, chargebacks, ACH items, wires and CD interest checks. Responsible for all debit card matters including ordering debit cards, maintenance, hot cards and pin reorders and disputes. Verify signatures on all wires are in compliance with Bank policy. Responsible for daily account maintenance requests and compliance. Process daily reports and settlements as delegated by the Deposit Operations Manager. Monitor and process new account documents and handling account exceptions. Report discrepancies to the Deposit Operations Manager and assist in clearing discrepancies. Maintain detailed records on all work responsibilities and the confidentiality of the Banks customers. Remain current on and adhere to all regulatory requirements and training. Process levies, garnishments and bankruptcy requests. Review and approval of mobile and merchant capture deposits. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, as well as related experience or product knowledge to accomplish primary duties. 3+ years of related experience in a deposit operations environment.
