Autonomous Vehicle Software Engineer
to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Responsibilities
Aurora Flight Sciences, a Boeing subsidiary, is seeking Software Engineers to contribute to the development of next-generation autonomous aircraft. Our contributions include the world-record breaking Orion aircraft, the first fully autonomous helicopter (AACUS), a flying taxi, underwater vehicles, and a solar plane. In this role, you will work independently within a multidisciplinary team to design and develop flight-critical onboard software for autonomous systems. Candidates should have excellent communication and organizational skills and a desire to learn new tasks and skills. Minimum Requirements B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. Must be a US Citizen or Legal US Permanent Resident. Interest and working knowledge in areas such as: UAS or Autonomous Vehicles Robotic System Guidance Navigation and Control Ground or Airborne Mission Systems Flight Control or Cockpit Avionics Systems User / Ground Stations Proficiency in C/C++ or Python
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in a related engineering field. Experience with Payload Control, Model-Based Design, or Model-Based Testing. Familiarity with Mathworks Simulink/Stateflow Auto-Coder. Knowledge of CMMI (Level 3 or higher), DO-178B standards. Skills in C/C++, Qt, Java, Human-Machine Interface (HMI), low-level algorithms, microcontrollers, and embedded processors.
Physical Requirements Salary Range (Annual USD)
Minimum: $62,000 - $75,000 Maximum: $110,000 - $134,000
