The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Secretary for Air Force Cryptologic Office (AFCO) Leadership. Performs office automation support using multiple automated programs and software such as databases, spreadsheets and graphics in support of the admin/clerical work.

DUTY 2 - Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for Senior Leadership
DUTY 3 - Manages information system operations including hardware, software, desktop support, internal telecommunications, and strategic systems development and planning
DUTY 4 - Assist with Protocol activies
DUTY 5 - Manages DTS Approving Official (AO) responsibilities

U.S. Citizenship Required All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. PCS expenses is NOT authorized This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Polygraph: Incumbent is required to undergo a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination Knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information. The incumbent must have the ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute (WPM). Disclosure of Political Appointments Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit Advance in hire may be authorized if there is demonstrable proof provided on your resume The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.

This is a GG-09 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-09 duties for the "Technician/Administrative Support" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-09 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of organizational structure, mission functions, and policies. Knowledge of the Director's duties, goals, priorities and commitments sufficient to perform essential and sensitive duties such as advising subordinates, anticipating and preparing material for the Director's special needs and making decisions related to the administrative and clerical activities of the office.
Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs ): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of extensive rules, procedures, operations, functions, and commitments applied to secretarial and clerical assignments to perform the procedural and administrative work of the office, such as screening calls and visitors, maintaining supervisor's calendar, preparing, reviewing and editing documents, locating and assembling information for various reports, maintaining files/records, and making and preparing travel arrangements.
2. Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to accurately prepare and edit written correspondence and reports, and transcribed material.
3. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
4. Skill in typing; a qualified typist is required.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE : Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE : Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
