Position Summary
The
Marketing and Sales Manager
supports the Director of Marketing in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies and group sales efforts across all American Bank Center venues, including the arena, auditorium, and convention center. This role is key in driving revenue through advertising, digital marketing, public relations, promotions, and select group sales initiatives. Responsibilities also include graphic design, interactive media, ticketing analysis, and grassroots efforts for events. Working as part of a collaborative marketing team, the Marketing & Sales Manager will help elevate the brand, increase ticket sales, and engage the local community. This role offers an annual salary of $45,000-$55,000. Benefits for Full-Time roles:

American Bank Center
is South Texas's premier entertainment and convention venue. It features a 10,000-seat arena, the historic Selena Auditorium, and a versatile convention center, hosting events from concerts and comedy shows to sporting events, conventions, trade shows, weddings, and other special events. Responsibilities Assist in executing strategic marketing campaigns to drive ticket sales, enhance venue visibility, and support promoters and event partners. Develop and implement marketing, advertising, and group sales campaigns for all events at American Bank Center. Support media planning and placement, including gathering creative assets and tracking deliverables. Manage group sales efforts by identifying and servicing clients such as schools, scouts, businesses, and community groups. Support event-day marketing operations, including media coordination, photography, artist gifts, and onsite responsibilities. Manage content creation, scheduling, and performance tracking across social media platforms to increase engagement and awareness. Maintain and update the venues website with accurate and optimized content. Build, deploy, and analyze targeted email campaigns; grow and segment the email database. Conduct market research to understand audience trends and preferences. Build relationships with community organizations, influencers, and grassroots partners. Create marketing materials and signage using Adobe Creative Suite. Monitor and report on marketing and social media analytics to measure ROI. Manage digital assets, including screens and outdoor signage, aligned with event priorities and sponsors. Plan and execute special event activations and promotional campaigns. Collaborate with promoters, tenants, and partners to ensure marketing deliverables are met. Represent the venue in media opportunities, including interviews. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in a venue or similar setting. Experience in group sales or ticketing is a plus. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with digital analytics tools. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Creative, solutions-oriented, and detail-focused. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Experience in media buying and digital advertising. Knowledge of local market trends and audience demographics. Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended days.
