Exchange Bank is looking for an experienced Loan Documentation Specialist to join our team, as a Loan Documentation Specialist II or a Senior Loan Documentation Specialist. The Loan Documentation Specialist II prepares and reviews loan documentation for all loan types offered by Exchange Bank including the most complex Construction, Commercial, Lease, Commercial Real Estate and SBA loans ensuring accuracy and compliance of loan documents and collateral perfection. The Senior Loan Documentation Specialist prepares and reviews loan documentation for all loan types offered by Exchange Bank including the most complex Construction, Commercial, Lease, Commercial Real Estate and SBA loans ensuring accuracy and compliance of loan documents and collateral perfection.
Essential Functions
Loan Documentation: Prepare consumer, lease, commercial, letters of credit, commercial real estate, construction, and some SBA and other complex loans ensuring accuracy and compliance. Prepare changes to original promissory notes including some rate modifications and change in terms. Order flood hazard determinations and deliver to loan officer. Complete all required loan documentation including UCC, flood hazard determination, loan checklist, etc. Knowledge of borrowing entities and documents required for verification of such. Knowledge of LaserPro, CreditQuest, DecisionPro, Encompass and Abrigo. Ability to create 20+ loans per month from the pipeline consisting of SBA, Commercial, Commercial Real Estate, Construction, and Consumer loans products. Prepare and review lease, commercial, letters of credit, and some commercial real estate loan documents ensuring accuracy and compliance. Prepare and submit escrow instructions to title companies ensuring proper execution. Prepare changes to original promissory notes including rate modifications, change in terms, amendments, assumptions, etc. Prepare documentation for re-amortizing complex payment restructures. Complete all required loan documentation including UCC, flood hazard determination, loan checklist, etc. Knowledge of borrowing entities and documents required for verification of such. Knowledge of LaserPro, SBA Lending Solution, CreditQuest, DecisionPro, LawyerPro, Encompass and Abrigo. Ability to create 30+ loans per month from the pipeline consisting of SBA, Commercial, Commercial Real Estate, Construction, and Consumer loans products.
Quality Control: Analyze loan files including legal documentation to ensure completeness prior to loan document preparation. Coordinate with loan officers, management, third parties and customers to obtain required credit documentation. Provide final quality control of loan documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Analyze loan files including legal documentation to ensure completeness prior to loan document preparation. Coordinate with bank legal and compliance counsel and borrower's counsel to prepare loan docs using LawyerPro and redline changes. Advanced knowledge of borrowing entities and documents required for documenting complex entity structures. Advanced knowledge of LaserPro, SBA Lending Solution, CreditQuest, DecisionPro, LawyerPro, and Encompass. Ability to create 50+ loans per month from the pipeline consisting of SBA, Commercial, Commercial Real Estate, Construction, and Consumer loans products.
Quality Control: Serve as the back-up to the Loan Supervisor, acting as a lead in her absence, providing support and direction to other documentation team members and staff members across the department. Serve as the back-up to the Loan Supervisor, acting as a lead in her absence, in resolving loan documentation questions and issues from internal and external sources. Recommend and implement process improvement and policy changes as assigned. Serve as the back to the Loan Supervisor as to the review of documentation for other teammates to ensure accuracy and compliance before forwarding to lending officer for execution.

Loan Documentation Specialist:
Basic knowledge of commercial, letters of credit, real estate and consumer loan documentation methods and procedures. Basic knowledge of loan documentation regulatory and compliance codes and statues. Basic knowledge of lien perfection requirements for loan types. Basic knowledge in using the software LaserPro and Encompass. Skills operating a personal computer including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software. Minimum Qualifications:
Loan Documentation Specialist: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and knowledge typically gained through a minimum of 2 to five years of experience in loan documentation for multiple product lines including consumer, commercial, SBA and construction and commercial real estate.
Senior Loan Documentation Specialist: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma plus 5 years progressively responsible experience in loan documentation including commercial lending loan documentation and 2 years of experience with SBA lending loan documentation.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Indoor office work environment with a majority of time sitting at a desk.
Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is to $27.85 to $45.00 per hour. The compensation offered will fall within this range, commensurate with the candidate's applicable experience, education and skills and the level the candidate slots into (Loan Documentation Specialist vs Senior Loan Documentation Specialist).
