RF Engineer

You will be the RF Engineer for Lockheed Martin's team in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, driving the development and production of complex multi-function modules used in high-reliability applications. Our team is composed of industry-leading RF design experts, and you will play a key role in leading investigations, providing innovative solutions, and collaborating with other engineering disciplines. As the RF Engineer, you will be responsible for: Driving the development and production of complex multi-function modules in all phases of the product life cycle Leading investigations to understand complex RF problems and providing innovative and ingenious solutions Acting independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the implementation of operational products Mentoring less experienced engineers on our team and collaborating with other engineering disciplines, including hardware engineers, systems engineers, and circuit design engineers Working with technical and manufacturing support personnel to ensure successful product development and production We're looking for a highly experienced and skilled RF Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred or BS Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) accepted plus a minimum of 14+ years of relevant professional engineering experience or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Experience designing active RF modules or circuits. Extensive experience with troubleshooting designs and resolving integration issues in a production or manufacturing environment. Experience with the use of RF microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools. Extensive experience testing microwave products at the RF circuit card assembly (CCA), module, or subassembly level. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required. Candidate must be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance and be able to obtain at least an Interim Secret Clearance before starting the position, therefore you must be a US Citizen. Desired Skills: Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related technical field. Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance Significant relevant experience in the defense electronics industry. Expertise with datalink or T/R module architecture. Expertise with RF subsystems and hardware including antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave components, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, advanced electronic modules, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation circuits, and frequency conversion circuits is desired. Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques. Expertise with technical documentation such as specifications, schematic drawings, and test date. Strong communication skills. Experience with customer interface including technical presentations. Hands on Hardware Experience Ability to lead failure investigations on production and/or technical issues. Ability work in a team collaborative environment especially with manufacturing and industrial engineers and/or operator on production support. Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer.
