Legal Assistant/Paralegal

A reputable law firm in Little Rock is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Assistant/Paralegal to provide essential administrative and legal support to attorneys. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of legal procedures, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, draft, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and contracts. Organize and maintain case files, discovery materials, and legal records. Assist attorneys in case preparation, including research, fact-checking, and assembling exhibits. Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court appearances. File pleadings, motions, and other documents with state and federal courts, both electronically and in person. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and other stakeholders in a professional manner. Track case deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks. Assist with billing preparation and entry of time records. Handle confidential information with discretion and in accordance with firm policies. Requirements: Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Paralegal certification (NALA, NFPA, or equivalent) a plus. 2+ years of experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role, preferably in a law firm setting. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research tools (LexisNexis, Westlaw). Knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
