A Rochester Hills, MI landscape design and build company is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee all aspects of hardscape and softscape practices. This role will be responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, and crews to ensure successful project execution from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both hardscaping and softscape construction, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality landscaping projects.Responsibilities:Plan, manage, and oversee landscape construction projects, including hardscape (footings, masonry, pavers, brickwork, retaining walls, patios) and softscape (elevation work, grading, drainage, and water management)Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and scopes of workManage on-site crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality workmanship and on-time completionEnsure compliance with safety regulations, local codes, and permit requirementsCoordinate material procurement and deliveryConduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to design plansIdentify and resolve project challenges proactivelyMaintain strong communication with clients, designers, and stakeholdersProvide accurate project reporting and updates to senior managementQualifications:5+ years of experience in landscape construction, including hardscape and softscape projectsStrong knowledge of hardscape practices (masonry, pavers, retaining walls, footings)Deep understanding of softscape techniques (grading, land movement, drainage, and water management)Proficiency with construction project management software (e.g., BuilderTrend, Procore, or similar)Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site plansExperience in creating and managing project schedules, budgets, and scopesFamiliarity with local codes, permits, and safety regulationsExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyValid driver's license and clean driving recordWillingness to work outdoors in various weather conditionsCertified Landscape Professional (CLP) or similarpreferredOSHA 30-hour certification-preferredICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) certification-preferredErosion and Sediment Control Certification-preferredExperience with site surveying and resource allocation-preferredCompensation:$70,000 - $90,000 salaryBenefitsAnd more...
