Calibration Specialist
We are seeking a Metrology Technician to provide maintenance on various laboratory instrumentation and equipment. You will work under the direction of staff to install, calibrate, and qualify routine and remedial maintenance. This role involves performing and documenting tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures and established maintenance schedules to meet regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with lab staff, schedule maintenance, and train others on equipment as needed. Responsibilities
Perform scheduled routine maintenance on active instrumentation and equipment. Conduct scheduled calibrations/qualifications on active instrumentation and equipment, including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ). Perform remedial maintenance on active instrumentation and equipment. Oversee the installation of new laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Follow vendor documentation related to preventive maintenance, calibration/qualification, and repairs. Address audits (internal or external client) on laboratory instruments and equipment. Evaluate lab support records for compliance with standard operating procedures, review for completeness and accuracy, and report findings. Essential Skills
Expertise in Metrology and Calibration. Experience with Laboratory equipment maintenance. Proficiency in Troubleshooting and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). Familiarity with instrument calibrations, including scales, balances, flow meters, temperature and pressure meters, temperature probes, and fluke meters. Experience working in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred experience in Cleanroom ISO 7/8 environments. Technical certificates may be required. At least 2 years of previous experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and directly related experience. Understanding of FDA and GXP regulations and requirements. Working knowledge and understanding of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Basic troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and all levels of staff. Capability to work in a collaborative team environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.67/hr.
